In brief: A February 2026 study from India compared 80 adults with vitiligo to 80 matched controls. It explored everyday patterns — diet routines and stress-related habits — and also measured inflammation (Hs-CRP) and insulin. People with vitiligo had higher average Hs-CRP and higher insulin than controls. This does not prove cause-and-effect, but it points to practical questions worth testing in larger, follow-up studies.
